Sold new in France, as the plate from the importer Pozzi confirms, this 400i with automatic transmission was registered new on 8 April 1981 in the Val-de-Marne. It changed hands in 1987 and was then registered in the name of a Parisian lady in 1989. It joined the collection in 1996 after going under Me Poulain’s hammer. The bodywork, with its elegant black finish, was repainted in the past, while the lovely Havana brown leather interior is original. The records for its safety inspections go back to 1997, when the odometer was reading 40,699km, versus 46,690km today. In used condition, it will need to be serviced and recommissioned before delighting its new owner with its magnificent V12 and elegant combination of colours.

Buyers are informed that all vehicles in the collection have seen limited use in recent years, having been part of a museum display. They are therefore sold as-is, require restarting, are not covered by a valid roadworthiness inspection, and will need full recommissioning before being driven on public roads.
