- Original 450bhp V10
- European specification
- Less than 60,000km
- No reserve
With the ‘double-bubble’ roof characteristic of the second generation and its 8-litre V10, the GTS produced 450bhp: its blistering acceleration made it a latter-day Shelby Cobra. First registered on 20 October 1997, this example had been registered in Paris since 2002 when Jean-Pierre Nylin bought it an auction held by Artcurial in 2008. A file of invoices testifies to the service work carried out during the 2000s: in 2005, a new differential was fitted and the ECU reprogrammed by Powerships, while in 2012 the running gear was overhauled. The owner made no secret of his pleasure in using this drag racer for the road on track at Le Vigeant during the magnificent ‘Sport et Collection’ event, for which it was fitted with racing harnesses and a fire extinguisher. It had 59,355km on the clock at its last safety inspection in 2021, and is now showing 59,502km. With its powerful V10 mated to a manual gearbox, this GTS is in good used condition, but will require recommissioning and a full service. It is exceptionally rare to find so much pleasure for the money.
Buyers are informed that all vehicles in the collection have seen limited use in recent years, having been part of a museum display. They are therefore sold as-is, require restarting, are not covered by a valid roadworthiness inspection, and will need full recommissioning before being driven on public roads.
