Derived from the X180R, which was hugely successful in competition in the USA, the Sport 300 was a limited series of 64 cars marked out by their 300+bhp, extreme weight savings and first-rate performance. Registered new on 21 March 1995, this example is no. 42 of the 64 cars built and – from the information supplied by Jean-Pierre Nylin – is understood to be one of the five sold new in France. Registered in the Seine-et-Marne since 1999, Nylin bought it at auction in May 2002. In February that year, it had covered 48,996km; it has now done 52,770km. Superbly finished in dark green with a beige leather interior, it is a genuine collector’s item in well-preserved condition. It was used in particular for passenger rides during ‘500 Ferrari contre le cancer’ at the Circuit du Vigeant. With 52,645km recorded at its last safety inspection in May 2021, it will need to be serviced and recommissioned. Truly a car for collectors, this Lotus will capture their attention, as well as that of connoisseurs and those looking for thrills behind the wheel.

Buyers are informed that all vehicles in the collection have seen limited use in recent years, having been part of a museum display. They are therefore sold as-is, require restarting, are not covered by a valid roadworthiness inspection, and will need full recommissioning before being driven on public roads.
