Based on the Fiat 508C, the Simca 8 enjoyed a brilliant career in France, and after the war, a rare ‘works’ coupé version was offered. This example had been registered in Paris since 1965 when it was acquired by an enthusiast from Versailles in 2000. The following year, it was bought by Jean-Pierre Nylin at an auction organised by Me Poulain. The bodywork was restored in the past, while the upholstery is original and will need to be restored. The engine is original and this elegant coupé, which had done 50,152km in 2014, now has 50,173km on the clock. It has some sophisticated accessories such as the integrated rear window blind or the Jaeger clock incorporated into the interior rear-view mirror. Elegant and with a sparkling engine for its period and capacity, this Simca 8 – which will need to be serviced and recommissioned and its restoration resumed – is sure to attract enthusiasts.

Buyers are informed that all vehicles in the collection have seen limited use in recent years, having been part of a museum display. They are therefore sold as-is, require restarting, are not covered by a valid roadworthiness inspection, and will need full recommissioning before being driven on public roads.
